Local Transportation
To and From Airport
Ride shares are the most viable option to get from the airport to one’s lodging. The 20-minute rides from the airport to downtown range from $35–$45 depending on the time of day. In addition, certain hotels may offer an airport shuttle service, so consider that and follow up directly with your chosen accommodations.
Rental Cars
Rental cars are available from the airport and other locations around town. Visitors are also suggested to consider car sharing apps for peer-to-peer rentals.
Parking
Limited guest parking is available by the SUB: https://www.depts.ttu.edu/parking/InformationFor/Visitors/VisitorParkingMap.php
There are paid parking garages and paid street parking within the university.
Note:TTU football is playing against Oklahoma State on Saturday (10/25). We expect campus to be busy leading up to that weekend. Parking will be very limited. We suggest using a carpool or ride sharing services (Uber/Lyft) to get to and from campus.
TTU campus offers Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) parking throughout campus parking lots near entrances to buildings. Visitors wishing to utilize handicapped parking spaces on campus must have a state-issued placard from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. Accessible parking is located on the west side of the United Supermarkets Arena entrance for those with a handicapped parking pass. Please check the visitor parking map at https://www.depts.ttu.edu/parking/InformationFor/Visitors/VisitorParkingMap.php for specific accessible spaces.
Lodging/Hotels
Most of the conference activities will be held in the Student Union Building (SUB). Other facilities, including the Humanities Building (English home), are within walking distance (less than 0.25 miles) of the SUB.
